Malk & Starjam’s forthcoming LP should be on your radar

Never heard of these two, and, indeed, most of you possibly haven’t either. But that just makes the prospect of this album even more exciting. Malk & Starjam are two producers from Ukraine and Belarus, respectively, who have been working on this LP — a mixture of dubstep, garage and house — for the past couple of years.

There are two tracks up on the Solace Records Soundcloud to give you a taste of what this duo are gonna deliver on January 29, 2016. Take Away is pure, bleak, stripped-back dubstep. The bass is menacing and there are these slick vocal cutups and layer upon layer of atmosphere. Extremely good. Then there’s Elements, which is equally dark, but very much on a future garage tip, showing that same fondness for bass, with raw, rugged synths and new age sweeps.

Can’t wait for the album.
