Manchester United have taken up an option to extend Luke Shaw’s contract to the year 2019, according to a report from ESPN FC.
Shaw is among a number of players at Old Trafford who have contracts expiring next summer but Manchester United holds an option to extend the deal for another year.
Shaw joined the club in 2014 on a four-year deal from Southampton.
Shaw is currently working his way back from ankle surgery in the summer and injuries have hampered him, limiting him to just one appearance for United this season.
