Gino D’Acampo and Phillip Schofield have blazing row over his This Morning pay

Gino D’Acampo and Phillip Schofield locked horns on This Morning when they argued about Gino’s cooking pay.

The Italian chef was livid that he had been brought on the show to show the public how to cook two meals, depsite, as he said, being paid to come on to show off one recipe.

But Phil was not having his bad attitude, and started to remind him why he should be grateful to be on the show, as he gets to speak out his ITV programmes and soon-to-be released cookbooks.

Gino turned to money guru, Martin Lewis, asking; “May I point it out, I’m going to do two recipes for everyone but I’m getting paid for one.

“Martin, you watching the show… I just said yes because I love the viewers but I’m getting paid for one.”

At this, Phil thought it right to remind him of all the positive aspects of his role.

He said: “Gino, are you talking about your book today?”

Gino smirked and denied he would discuss his book, before Phil continued to probe.

Phil continued: “Are you talking about your series on the telly? Yeah, yeah, ok. You should be paying us!”

Gino replied: “OK, if that’s the way you want to play, that’s fine.”

Later on, Gino took aim at the Loose Women panel, particularly Ruth Langsford , telling them all off for not making a “proper” bolognese.

When Rochelle and Phil tried to move over to the ladies to ask them about the show, during another little row about traditional sauce, Ruth said they all know exactly how to make the perfect bolognese.

Gino said: “Yeah, but this is the one my grandmother made in my house for year!”

Ruth joked: “Blah, blah, blah,” as Gino chatted about his delicious bolognese recipe.

Later, he kept up his frustration by saying that Rochelle Humes’ idea of putting salad cream with bolognese is “what’s wrong with this country, before chastising Phil for not thanking him at the end of the segment, which ended before they could even taste his food.
